Founded in 2008 by Matt and Simone Weber, Table Grace Ministries is an Omaha nonprofit with a mission to foster a healthy community through food, music and fellowship.

A Christian organization, Table Grace serves the community by offering a two-week job assistance program by head chef Matt Weber and Tuesday Bible studies. In 2011, the Webers expanded their business with Table Grace Cafe, which includes dine in and catering options. Then, in 2018, the team added Mobile Grace Cafe, a food truck that serves both North and South Omaha.

During COVID-19, Table Grace has been busy providing fresh meals through its food truck. Simone Weber says they have been thankful for the kindness of Omahans to keep them going, especially during 2020.

"Table Grace Ministries has been grateful for the continued support of the community during the pandemic," Weber says. "Serving the community with food is an essential task at this time."

While staying open and helping others has been a challenge for many restaurants, Weber says Table Grace has been involved in many programs to serve Omaha throughout the pandemic.

"One of the ways that we are able to extend hospitality to the community is through the Cares Act/DHHS funded Mobile Grace Food Truck outreach events," she says. "We have 20 events on our calendar for September through December and will be serving in areas of need throughout the Omaha metro area."

Table Grace has also partnered with organizations such as Habitat Restore and Boys and Girls Clubs to help families who have been impacted by the pandemic. In September, Weber says Table Grace worked with Kids Can in South Omaha to serve 179 meals, including free food for children.

Weber says the meals were important for families who may not always have access to healthy, affordable food.

"The families are able to eat a hot and ready meal, as well as take a family pack to go for later," she says.

Table Grace Cafe is open for lunch Monday through Saturday at 1611 1/2 Farnam Street, serving dine in and take out. To learn more, visit their website.
